130 of China and Australia’s Finest Young Minds Meet on the Sydney Harbour Bridge
On June 1st 2015, 130 Chinese and Australian emerging leaders connected on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, at the launch event of the inaugural CAMP (China Australia Millennial Project); a government backed initiative strengthening China-Australia relations.
The team bonding Climb welcomed 13 bi-cultural think tanks, each tackling global challenges that affect both countries, ascending the Australian landmark for the opening activity of a five day thought-leadership seminar in Sydney. The event coincides with Vivid Sydney; the Southern Hemisphere’s largest festival of light, music and ideas.
CAMP CEO, Andrea Myles, said, “Following nine months of online idea generation, it’s great to see these young innovators finally come together in person, as we launch our summit from the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
“And what better way to introduce the future leaders of China to this great country, and build a bridge for bilateral collaborations, than to take them to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge hand-in-hand with their Australian peers”.
BridgeClimb CEO, Todd Coates, said, "BridgeClimb is proud to host this group of innovators as they generate solutions on important issues affecting us all, including Infrastructure, China Australia Free Trade Agreement and The Future of Tourism.
“This event perfectly complements our own innovative Vivid Climb, which offers our Climbers an unforgettable interactive experience and unparalleled views of the Vivid Sydney Festival.
“We also embrace this opportunity to welcome China’s fine young minds as we continue to build our investment in the China tourism market, for which we run frequent special events and daily Climbs in Mandarin.”
CAMP aims to develop a multicultural mindset that goes beyond stereotypical perceptions of Australia ‘the mineral resource’ and China ‘the manufacturer’.
The initiative brings together 130 future business leaders and entrepreneurs aged 18 – 35 to be mentored by key opinion leaders from both countries and is backed and partially funded by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs through the Australia China Council.
BridgeClimb offers a truly memorable team bonding experience, perfect for special occasions, family adventures and corporate events. For more information, please visit www.bridgeclimb.com or call +61 (0) 2 8274 7777.
