Leanne Faulkner climbs the Bridge in memory of her late grandfather
To celebrate the Sydney Harbour Bridge's 86th birthday, we invited Leanne Faulkner, granddaughter of Felix John Faulkner, construction worker and rigger on the Bridge.
Felix was one of the 16 workers who lost their life during the construction of the Coathanger. On the 30th March, 1930, Felix was involved in an accident on the arch, which has connected his family to the Bridge ever since.
Leanne climbed the Bridge for the first time in memory of her late grandfather Felix and on behalf of the Faulkner family.
