Anzac Day Dawn Service: a Climb to remember
To remember and to honour all who have served in our Armed forces, we partnered with Mates4Mates to hold an ANZAC Day Dawn Service atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
With the city still wrapped under a blanket of darkness, close to 100 Climbers made their way to the summit to pay their respects to Australia’s and New Zealand’s fallen Defence Force heroes.
As the sun started to peek above the horizon, they took their places on the arches of the Bridge, 134 metres above the harbour. The highlight of the 25-minute commemorative service was an address by returned Australian serviceman Nathan Jacobsen and a live rendition of The Last Post by a bugler from the Australian Army Band Sydney.
This event honoured and remembered our fallen servicemen and women with all profits from the Dawn Service Climb donated to Mates4Mates, so they can continue to deliver their life-changing support initiatives including physical, psychological, employment and social rehabilitation programs.
